Fuel Tank Cleaning System

For my senior project my team and I were chosen to develop a new and more efficient process to clean fuel tanks for a local manufacture,  I was tasked with the design and modeling of the machine.

Design: The unit consisted of a heated storage tank to hold the cleaning solution, a hydraulic rocking table to agitate the water inside the fuel tanks, and pumping and filtering system to fill and evacuate the fuel tanks.

Results: The final product was able to clean fuel tanks at a faster pace than the current process in place, as well as remove particulate matter.
